Aggressive Wheels & Stretched Tires: Post 'Em Up! [[Some NSFW]]
I'll post detailed pictures of the welding work inside of the fender later when i'm get out of lazy mode and go raise the car and take my wheel off....
but anyway rear fenders pulled so i got max clearance now and can slam away, but not really because when i lower the car, the fcking tire rubs on the gap part where the fender meets the rear bumper, fuuuuuuuuuuu.....
I dont think even going with a bigger stretch 275 would give me any more clearance, how the fck is Lunek gonna fit his more aggressive rears when i can't even fit mine without rubbing somewhere, i need to know your secret Lunek help a brotha out for real.... how are you gonna deal with this issue of the tire hitting that gap in the rear

like ok if Lunek can fit this slam his car and not rub that rear portion where fender meets the rear bumper, i need to know how it's done

19s are the new setup so that gave me some room to play with and split the tab after the screw and pull it out further and just run some 30 series stretch. Thats all no secret to it haha
^ you liessss, it's a texas secret you guise keep all to yourself in order to remain kings of the stance game!!!!
but ok i'll try messing with the tab you're talking about, i actually had to do that in the front, cut a piece of the tab on the front fenders...

Nexen n3000's, they got a harder compound than the generals so last longer, and they run a bit smaller as well...
fck if i cant figure out a way around this issue of the tire rubbing that part back there, then i can't slam it so pulling my fenders was useless. Then i would just have that flare sitting out there without that credit card tire fender clearance I'm looking for

^ you talking about the tabs that connect the fender and rear bumper together right ?
yea i had to do that for my front fenders actually, but damn i really hope it works for the rear as well, thanks for the heads up Erk

yep, thats the tab. just hit it with a flap disc or stone disc on a grinder and you wont have any more rubbing
^hmmmm maybe thats whats making my car rub too????? i've got beefy tires and i get a rubbing sound when im going up a drive way on an angle, even when im on a highway and there is a dip the coils come down and i hear a little rub too, but when im coming in a drive way straight then no rub sound
^ yea thats pretty much exactly what i did with my front tabs, for the front I figured the reason that happened is because of the positive caster where the wheels lean forward towards the front bumper. my caster was at like +10 up front which is a lot from what I've seen, and the alignment shop just left it uncorrected so my front tires were taking chunks out of my front fender even.... and the rear i don't know how much it was but i assume it's the same story..
how much caster adjustment is possible for our cars ? i have the ichiba a-arms up front and rear spc + toe bolt kit combo, is it possible to slam my car and get caster down to oem specs or do i need some other
what im saying is look at the tire to see if actual damage has happened, I agree the noise gets annoying and wait till you rub on wheel lip but at one point you either keep doing more stretch and camber or live with it you know
but going past the noise, if there is no damage, you're good to go
