245 in fine on a 11.5 ONLY if the tire runs huge. I was stretching a 235/35 michellin ps2 on an 11 and the stretch was perfect . 11.5 with a large 245 like continental or pirellis will stretch the same as my true 265/30 on my 11.5

That's just getting into some sketchy territory. It puts a tonne of stress on the bead.

You have photos of the 265/30 on 11.5?

Going from 265/30 to 245/35 there is 20mm of spread tread width but a total of 12.6mm less vertical stretch. Basicially relates to nearly a inch more stretch on the 245/35 than the 265/30 since the tread does not need to pull as far to seat.

Sidewalls are what you want to be stretching, not the tread width. The sidewalls are what keep the rigidity of the tire, the tread and contact patch is much weaker.

^ So Edafe would you say 245/35 on a 11.5 is fine?

Thanks fellas for the truthful opinions & facts I guess it comes down to if I can fit those damn tires haha so what is an equivelant tire stretch to a 245/35 on 10.5 for an 11.5? If I can get some solid statements from the members that push the envelope and say the 245 is fine on the 11.5 I'll start posting my wheels fs but I don't want to be unsafe.. Keep in mind the tires I have are Hankook V12's..

And poor blue Z fack!

you will be fine.. trust me ran a 245/35 on my 19x11" and that was not even a bad stretch.. .5 is not going to make a difference. shot people put 255 on 12"... You need to ask Chris (Status One) he runs a small size on his and daily's it all the time.

Don't get butt hurt GR6RR I asked here because that thread doesn't get as many frequent visitors looking to push the envelope like they do here. If there is any thread to ask about aggressive set-ups it's here

Alright thanks Edafe I'll see what's up Im gonna keep looking to see what the 11.5 on 245/35 looks like mounted & installed..

It seems it's 50/50 right now some people say doet! others say thats retarded hahaha I'll just have to keep researching ftw thanks to those who have chimed in.
