Now let's say he wins for "Best Stance" and then adjusts the coils back up and leaves. I've seen that SAME situation at shows with bagged cars. They roll in at a normal height, drop the car for the show, win and then lift the car again to leave. There's just something about having a slammed static car that is more Now I'm not hating on bagged cars as I think some are for sure, but it's like having a f*ck buddy. Yes you can get down when you want too but you don't have to fully commit.
But you choose not to have bags if that's the case. You have the choice to do all that extra work to slam it as opposed to pushing a button. I don't see how that constitutes as cheating, seems pretty smart to me. I have been reading a lot about the coils vs static, I had no idea about it before i got my G. I chose static, but not because it seems to be the cool thing to do, I chose static because the streets where i live allow it. Had i been somewhere like Los Angeles or Louisiana where i know the streets are horrible, I would have chosen air ride. I am still contemplating air ride, when i travel to other states with bad roads, I have that option. When I went to cali last Sep for the GTG III I wished I'd had air ride. So i have mucho respect for you peeps that ride static in bad areas, but that doesn't make air ride bad and coils good. In my opinion they are the same, it just depends on how much work you want to do to raise or lower the vehicle.

Please explain why one would do that. Why would you tear up your car if you have the capability not to? I'm a noob and don't care bout gettin flamed, I'm just trying to understand the reason for having air ride and not using it? Why not just ride on coils?
