So guys I got my cup kit installed the other month and have run into an issue with the rear (has nothing to do with the kit itself) so I wanna get input on what some of you experts in here.
Problem is the driver rear side, passenger side works normally, but ok when the spring compresses it does not stay straight under compression, it goes a little sideways causing the aluminium cup that sits on top of the spring to dig into the side of the spring which isn't good for obvious reasons.
I got underneath the car during my alignment and the only thing that I noticed that's different from the passenger and driver (problem) side is that the height adjustment on the spring perch is different, I have a bit more room to go down on the driver's (problem) side. I set it up this way to account for my own weight inside the car, once I sit in it's gonna get lower about a quarter of an inch since I weigh 200lbs.
Now my assumption is the strut and spring adjustment is not equal on the problem side as it is on the passenger side. So I would assume once I even out the strut and spring assembly to match the passenger side it should fix the problem. Also when I hit the switch and raise the rear up a little bit, I can drive around just fine and the cup doesn't touch the spring so it straightens all out when I'm aired up a little bit.
I still don't see why uneven ride height adjustment would cause this type of problem, but at the same time there are so many factors in play here, the cups themselves are custom cut right down to the millimetre, and then you got your toe bolt and camber kits goin n all that, so when something is set up so tight down to a mm something is bound to be off slightly.

Hellllllz yeah. Neither one of my kids were potty-trained or in school when that came out. I think one of them had JUST been born. So, it's at least 2-3 years old. Maybe more. The car is a drift car..literally drifts and daily and he didn't feel like getting the "new" fender painted cuz dorifto. I actually LOVE that car. It's dirty and used and beat to **** and I just love it. I like rat rods tho. His fenders are MORE haggard now btw.
besides I've contributed enough pictures in this thread to earn one fckin question, feel free check my posts in here
