Test fitment day 2!

So today we used the "cheater" method on the BC racing coilovers by placing the spring over the coils like a true c-over setup which dropped the car considerably. Took a quick video. Still need to pull the fenders a bit more.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nv5M9ZOACy4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Nv5M9ZOACy4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

video is still processing so give a sec.

is that safe? Do you have any pics of it? Just trying to get a visual of it, but are you saying that you installed the springs and the perch collar upside-down? Or is this when you completely get rid of the whole springbucket and having coilovers similar to the front?

Okay everyone keeps asking me what I did. Well I pretty much got rid of the bucket spring and placed the spring on the coilover. This is the same method that the Stance True Coilover is done.. Here is a quick pic on how it looks before adjusting the collar...

We went for a test ride and it road like normal,, I will let you know how it goes over the week..

And here is another pic of fitment

Wow, that's low. I'm assuming you still got the spring bucket there, just that the spring is not on it, right?

What's keeping the spring compressed on the top? Hard to tell...and yeah that's exactly how the stance coils are. Out of curiosity though, wouldn't spring rate need to be changed? I'm not sure or anything, just curious because I know Stance rates their rear spring rates as 5k and they say it's equivalent to a 10.8k spring rate or something. I swapped my 5k's for an 8k and noticed a slight difference...could be stiffer...I think I need 12k, wonder that would equate to an OEM style spring rate.
