Hey guys, My rims should be in next week so i need to find some tires soon. Just wanted to know what brand you guys suggest i get. does the general UHP's run large when stretched? im looking for something that runs taller to eliminate the wheel gap

Thanks Dre.

Alot of the shops i go to tell me to go with the falken 452, but everyone online seems to be using the general UHP's is it because of the sidewalls?

eh 452s stretched LOOK nice but they tend to bubble etc, they are pretty popular to stretch but from what i've seen i would never stretch them nor recommend them, i have them on my stockies with stock sizes but never stretched

the generals from my person experience and what I have seen on friends cars like shane's they are BEASTS, i mean they take SUCH A beating, that of course doesn't mean drive like a dumbass but they do take a lot of beating

with that said, the generals DO run large and you will run into rubbing issues but as the wheel gets wider the stretch becomes more.. for example the 245/35 on my 10.5 is MORE stretched than my 225/35 on my 9.5, which are relatively comparable specs

but as marcus (candlestick) noted, you want to go lower to close the gap not a bigger tire, that's just fitment done right

Nankang NS2's also take a beating, they stretch nice too, I took them on a 4200 four day road trip, 245/35 on a 10 wide rim, and not one issue.

But I'm going all Generals on my new wheels though, really listening to what you guys in here are saying so I'm doing it the right way.

^ I too would love to know.. hahah I threw my old pair of s drives to see how they would look and they sure to do look good. But their old tires with like 2000 miles left in them. Cant make a good review on em'
