well as any of you guys/gals know i just got my paint job done a few weeks ago and im planning on going to a meet which is 3-4 hours from me....so i looked through this thread and found out 2" 3M painters tape is the best and 1 roll should cover the front bumper. Do you guys do double tape the bumper or just tape once?.

this is what you guys use right?

and this painters tape wont ruin my paint job right?

just tape once, if you want it to hold better put duct tape over the blue painters tape

yes thats the tape but get the large rolls

no it will Not ruin the paint

 

no need for the duct tape for a 3h-4h ride. just put the blue tape on a clean surface et put it on well it should hold the hole trip.

 

may want to wash and wax 1st... i did have a little spot of clear come off .

tape top to bottom so the tape overlaps.. if not the wind will start to lift the tape up.... also if you tape then hit rain, be ready to retape... the duct tape is water proof but mostly for show

 

Thanks everyone but blackmax I can't wax my car for a whole month bc of my new paint job. Now I'm scared putting tape on my front bumper bc u said some clear coat came off lol
