That said, I'm disappointed with the final result. The car has such an amazing exterior, between the bodywork, paint, and wheels. This trunk A/V setup is FAR from impressive, by comparison. It's pretty amateur and not even very clean with the wide bezels, exposed screws, and undersized screens.
i think he built it exactly the way he wanted it. Lets skip all the gawdy stuff and stick to the true essence of sound and visual appeal, no it doesn't have big 50 inch plasma's or a projector in there, or even a running waterfall.... the sub enclosure has a free falling effect where the subs are just floating, cool and difficult effect. You see all the rounded cuts made on the amp rack and floor board, see how perfectly the lids line up almost seamless..... that is extremely difficult to do for any shop let alone a DIYer.

Congrats Randy for an awesome trunk setup and a far impressive array of audio components. The Hertz / Audison equipment is perfect in that enclosure with all respects to refinement and sound clarity.

Hertz / Audison owned by parent company Electromedia hand made in Italy. The HQ where Audison is R&D'd and made and the Hertz HQ in Rome are all ran by Pantaleone and Vagnoni who run a small staff, NOT a 1000 employee assembly line. Imagine that, a company who truly runs with R&D. Pantaleone and Vagnoni started the Audison brand out of an office ironically located on the same street as the inventor of the radio, Guglielmo Marconi.

Fun Fact

Audison was the first electronics manufacturer in the world to:
* Design an amplifier with an adjustable gain control
* Design an amplifier with a balanced RCA system
* Design a dedicated subwoofer amplifier
* Design a 5-channel amplifier
* Design a dedicated 5.1-channel amplifier for use with multichannelprocessors
* Design an amplifier with selectable damping factor

*by no means am I a Hertz representative nor am I sponsored by them. I was introduced to Hertz / Audison also when I arrived at Sightwaves in Eagle Rock, ca. The equipment moved me so much I purchased the speakers for both mine and my gf's car. I'd purchase the whole entire amps, speakers, and subs but there's a reason why i haven't fullly committed yet. With that said the AMP's are what really make this setup shine! One day and hopefully w/ some help I will.

congrats Randy! I love every part of it!

Looks great! I like the fact that you have the talent to do your own work and still win at shows. What is your day job? Time to open a automotive shop!
