Parts in HK is not too cheap, especially when you are looking at Brand name parts. Besides, if you get caught at the airport, you will need to pay export tax. My cousin bought a set of Coilover for his M3, he said it's not that worth the hassle. He had to make sure he get the right part, no lemon, no damage. Some HK shop will try to f*ck you up, because they know you are going back anytime soon and willing to pay money. On his way back to US, he had to take out all the boxes and wrap them with his clothes.

 

^ good thing i don't intend to get any major parts here then.. just the small stuff

fancy car in HK is the ****. If you have a sport car, even a CIVIC Si, you will be treat like king. It's because car is not a very convinence transportation in HK, only car lover, transportation drivers or rich people will get them. Parking is a major thing in HK. It's similar to finding a parking in SF shopping center on weekend, except it will be like that 24hrs a day wherever you go. One way or another, if you don't have money, don't get a car in HK.
