Got busy this weekend! - Shave and Roll

Needed to do some more tweaks on the G so I went to work Friday as soon as I got home from work. The first issue I had to fix was an uneven drop in the rear. The right settled about .5 inch higher than the left so I shaved the right spring mount. Almost thought of taking out the lower bump stop, but figured shaving was a better option than having metal to metal contact.

Next up was some fender work. I had some major rubbing going on, so needed to free up some more clearance.

Next was a trip to the alignment shop for some more adjustments. I knew it was a good sign when the guy spotted my 5zigen lugs as soon as I got out of the car.

Front: -2 camber
Rear: -3.9 camber

Almost there ... more work set up for next week

That's some quality fender roll. Now you can even throw 10mm spacers in there. I hate to say it though, but 5zigen lug nuts are junk.
I had the same ones in blue and they strip so easily it's not even funny. The material they're made of is way too soft. They are good only for the first few times you take them off. But they sure do look good.

nah, cutting the spring mount was not that hard. It's more of a PIA getting a straight cut because it is an awkward piece to deal with. Just don't forget the WD40, it makes life a lot easier.

BTW, big thanks for the fender roll DIY!

Nice job and the top mount spring mod is a great way to even out the rear drop. I've seen a lot of cars drop unevenly and this is an easy fix.

why are you running so much neg camber in the rear? Your wheels should easily clear with that roll and less neg camber. Are you planning on installing 15mm spacers?

long story .... shop didn't install the toe bolts correctly on my SPC kit. so the alignment guys weren't able adjust camber any more since they couldn't adjust the toe.

the car pulls a little to the left now, so i want to get this corrected. if anyone has a link to the instructions or copy of the cutting template this will help me convince them.

i do plan on putting spacers on soon ...

ps. thanks for the DIY
