I have a feeling these are going to look just as bad on the G as they do on those civics.

The problem I would forsee for this is that the G has a substantially more rounded front that the DC2 (if you remember the JDM ones have a flat front with non-rounded headlights) and the TL. I definitely want to see these installed and I would love these to come in CF

somehow to me those make me think that those are parking training wheels for against messing up the front bumper from curbs
