leave it to Hai to point out something like that. lol. IMO, there is no right or wrong way to install the hood pins, as long as it still does what it was designed to do. I have mine installed in a similar manner. I wanted to be a little different than what the majority thinks.

Good job with the Z.

Do you even know what you are talking about? I'm not talking about the actual placement, but the type of aerocatch hoodpin used. Aerocatch makes 2 types of hoodpins, one that is made for top mounting, such as this application, and one made for flushmounting where the bracket is made to be installed from the bottom.
This is how this particular type of hoodpin is supposed to be installed


The correct type to use for install from the top is this aerocatch model

^^ That looks like **** in the first pic. Thats why we didnt install them that way, IMO they look better the way he installed them. Thats why I installed mine that way also, the flush aerocatch looks like ***.
