Sleeving is part of the process in a "complete" wire tuck and is a lot of work. Final appearance is much better as donpisto mentioned.
Yeah, that's what I meant when I said you have to unbolt each wire. Forgot to mention you would use heat shrink on the tips. It's best to do this before starting the project. So much easier.

IMHO, techflex looks SOOOO much better than plastic wire loom. You can get it in a variety of colors and it serves the same purpose.

Only downside is that if you want the shiny look, you wont have that. I think Fry's might have some, but I know you can find it on www.partsexpress.com or even on eBay. But if you have no issues at all now, then it's really not necessary.
Orvac in Fullerton has several diameter sizes - only the laterally spilt F6 though (which is what you want for the wire loom) - but they don’t carry FlexoPet (the Chinese handcuff type sleeving), I tried to find some for ground wire kit.

I like Painless Performance split sleeve better… it feels like fabric rather than nylon/plastic, the braid is tighter and is still heat resistant. I cant find anything bigger than ¼” diameter locally though.

Is this what you are looking for? http://www.markertek.com/SearchProdu...ex&pagesize=20

I bought several for when I was doing my audio install. Had some for 16 awg wire, 20 awg wire, 4 awg, and 1/0. I bought them off eBay IIRC. I got an assortment of colors since I was color coding the wires, making it easier for me. When I do my grounding wires I'm going to get white techflex to match or get rather close to matching the exterior of the vehicle.

I already ordered Flexopet in carbon for 4 awg... I just wanted to make sure anyone looking for Techflex knew that the store I mentioned only carried F6 - as stated, thats all they would need for the project in this thread.

Revive old thread REVIVE.

How much would you ESTimate this would cost at a performance tuning shop? I'm a cable harness assembler but when it comes to cars I'm learning.

Anyway I love the look, very good job Shane!
