Kekekeke Teaser!!!
another teaser fail
btw, if your shop is telling you they cant paint for **** you might want to do business elsewhere. My shop painted my grill for me and it holds up exceptionally well.

zzzzz.... not a teaser. A car without a bumper. Most shops won't paint the grille, it's not uncommon they're not willing to. I've tried before, so I ended up just doing it myself.
ching! its about damn time you put that bumper on!
also i got mine painted black obsidian from my guy, and i only got 1 tiny rock chip, but nothing that touch up paint cant fix! oh and i go through the touch-less car wash and pressure wash my car all the time
one thing you gotta know, is that if anything is primed and painted PROPERLY then it wont chip from pressure wash at all
if it does chip then go back and tell them they did a band paint job, for the grille or the bumper
and when are we gonna do a photo shoot!?
we can have one right in front of the oval rink

Should just paint the grille yourself.
Get some 400 grit sandpaper.
Sand off all the chrome to dull the surface.
Layer 3-5 coats of Duplicolor Sandable Black Primer (10-15 minute drying between coats).
Layer 3-5 coats of Duplicolor Black Bumper Paint (same drying).
If you want some gloss, layer some clear coat on there.
Do it right, the paint shouldn't come off. Biggest threat is rocks chipping off the paint.
But, if you did it yourself... it'll be easy to just repaint the grille.
