The Grandfather - 1978 280 Datsun Z
A little while back my Dad's friend bought this car and brought it over for a little tinkering.
I have never seen one in such nice condition. The interior is all original, as is the paint, which are both in great condition (9.5/10). The guy he bought it from (original owner) didn't do much with it apparently, because it only has about 50K on the odometer.
Under the hood there is still the yellow coating that they used to use to protect the engine components and accessories from rusting during transoceanic shipping. (sorry, no pic. )

It was an E-Bay car in fact, from the mid-west somewhere.
I would really like to do a ground up build of one of these....some day.....

Wow 17k, you could buy a G with less miles than that for that price, haha. I didn't know these were considered classics already, I always liked them. Almost bought a 240z a few years ago for 3g's but got a starion instead. So from the looks of it,this isnt going to be used for some crazy LS1 project car huh? Too bad it's not a 240z, would never have to smog it.
