Chapter 1 cont.: RSX / PhotosByCalvin

Ran into a few issues tonight, so sorry for the lack of angles/composition/creativity/etc. lol. Only had time to position the car two ways - front and rear 3/4.

Nice shot. Im digging the car except that home depot lining. Makes the car look worse and you can see the 3M double sided tape.

The "socks" in the honda engine. They're supposed to be effective right?

Great shot

Great shots, Calvin.

Is #1 slightly OOF? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Also, is the area that you shoot in lit by over-head lamps? Or is nearly pitch black?

focus in on front passenger wheel in #1

the lot is relatively well lit with amber lamps

with off camera lighting there are two exposures - one caused by ambient light and another caused by the strobes. shutter speed does affect exposure from the strobes, only ambient exposure. aperture and ISO, on the other hand, affect exposure from the strobes. the max sync speed is 1/250, which is fast enough to block out all ambient light. now using aperture and ISO, you can expose only the lighting from the strobes.

Everything looks great but the parking lines and tire marks are very distracting.

Is there a reason some of the details seem a bit blurred?
