The "Look what i got TODAY!" Thread!
I got something new
They are Volk GT-7's, I don't know what car I'll use them for yet (although I couldn't resist throwing them on the coupe for a bit). The specs are a little weak for the coupe but they'll look good with some spacers, and would look awesome on the sedan. Either way, they make a pretty good spare set

^you're running a 275 on an 8.5" wheel? Not trying to call you out or anything as I am sure it is working for you, but that's a dumb tread width for your wheels. On my track wheels I have 265 and that is as far as I'd push that. You're almost doing a reverse stretch... can you post some pics? What size sidewall?
I agree, stretching.... meh.
I have a photo to post tomorrow! I actually have a tonne of stuff in the mail right now!
edit; not you ghayes, guy above you.

275 on OEM is just going to be mushy. Too much sidewall for the wheel IMO, not insanely excessive, but more than I'd ever choose to run. It likely wont be dangerous per se, but has the potential to become unseated at full cornering as you roll the excess tire around.
That and any performance benefit of having extra tire width will be neutralized by having a gummy lateral feel...that being said, if anyone is running the V12s, please post your opinions and mileage.

4DGS,
Different manufactures 275s are just a little wider than others. I think his Hankooks look more curved than my 452s (275/35/19, 245/35 in front). Either way, I've attached a few pics of mine. Still don't consider them unsafe in anyway, of course I'm from the old school where I used to run tires that were very wide (325s on an 8" rim) for drag racing, including on one of my cars that did 130+ mph in the 1/4 (also used VW tires on the front rated for 85 mph
).

But remember when running that 325 you were running a 65+ sidewall! haha.
These are low sidewall tires, it's not the greatest idea to squeeze such a large width on such a thin wheel.
I never said it was unsafe, that was other people. I don't see it as a safety issue.

Front OEM 19" wheels are 8.0. The best size IMO are 235/40 for the front (just a tiny bit taller than stock, which actually would be a good thing for the potholes around here) However, almost NO tire manufacturers make that size. The 255/40 for the rear are also good because they are tiny bit taller than OEM too, and everybody makes that size, but without the 235's in the front to match, they don't look right with a short sidewall front like the 245/35 front (which is a tiny bit shorter than OEM).
I had some Ebay-bucks accumulated in my account. So I bought this flip key (cuz I was so jealous of O HELLA OEM and my other flip key was getting old a Wobble)
So the key on the right replacing the setup on the left.
