Oh wow...

I was sold on sending them to Mike the Powdercoater. But considering that AE is local, I might as well do them.

Is this paint more resistant to heat than PC?

these are painted – they masked everything off real well… for PC yes you need to remove anything that cant be baked.

I'm not as old as I said in early post (it was a joke) - but I'm probably older than you... the meet will have a good mix of ppl from teens to late fifties, early sixties (majority in their 20s & 30s).

If you’re home Sat or Sun I’ll try and swing by – or come to Temple City and hang out with me and Thomas (az1anbeethoven), we can go to lunch

No paint is more heat resistant (or durable) than PC… this was more convenient as I didn’t have to have them stripped and is closer and quicker than my powder coater – plus I wanted a specific color – and AE does great work so I knew they would turn out good.

With all the powder coaters around Henry, there is no point is shipping your calipers to be done – One reason Mike is popular (besides the forum exposure) is because some people are in areas that don’t have PC so close (as we do), plus he has the decals… but you can get them at Vip Status in Torrance – if you plan to go to the meet, let me know and I’ll pick them up and bring them for you. My PCer is in Anaheim (far for you) but I’m sure there are plenty in your area… or have them painted – plenty of people have.

^mike also knows the process of stripping the brakes down very well and even does installs for the local guys in ga. but like you said, any powdercoater or painter can do this. its a neat mod especially for the bbk/akebono owners.
