Did up a Porsche

Well while I have been waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive so I can start working on a motor, I decided to start working on something I been putting off for 4 years. My coworkers gave me the drive to finally bring out my HPI Nitro RS4 2 out of mothball for a friendly competition amongst coworkers.

Body was shot and I had a extra body laying around I never got to paint.
So I cleaned the frame and body with the help of my son.
Cut up the unpainted body and masked it off.
Painted the body same gray my car is getting painted and
even got it some decent wheels with a more aggressive offset.

Here are the pictures.

Ordered some replacement belts also since they are dry rotted but I should still be able to run it a bit before they go.
I will cut up the post so they don't stand out so much tomorrow

I took off the glo plug and dropped some gas in there to lubricate the motor and crank it a few times and then let it sit overnight.

Thanks Woady

The color is Gunmetal from Tomiya

This one has a 1.5cc this is more than 6yrs old and I haven't ran it in 4yrs.
I might upgrade and give this one to my kids.

Breaking them in slowly so next spring I can pick up a newer one with a bigger motor and 2 speed tranny.

My oldest is 15
Middle one is 10
Little one is 6

All boys

The middle one is the one that will be getting it.

Here are some pics with the stickers and what not.
You can see my little one sleeping in the background

I didn't do such a clean job on the window cutouts but it will do for now

im going to be purchasing my first rc car and was going to go electric just to mess around and drift with, but after watching this nitro one (
), im on the edge about which one to get. although the nitro one would be nice, i think an electric one would be just fine.

I read the topic and expected to see a modified Porsche... a track car or something... I was jealous before the first post opened... then I saw a toy
