That is not the type of mesh I have, looks like the home depot stuff compared..
This stuff is stamped out of steel and holes are actual hexagons. This is some of the closest mesh you will find to what the lambo's run. I would go with 1/2" for bumper and 1/4" for hood.
It comes in a 10'x4' sheet and cannot be rolled up because its too thick therefore has to be sent freight.. I found the best way to cut it was a dremel with reinforced cutting wheels.
It was a PITA but worth it...

wow came across this thread from wayy backk.

in case you are curious on what i decided to do, for now, i decided to do things a bit different than the norm, have painted over the cf, & left it alone in the middle. dont think i have seen any painted in this manner. imho it goes well with the rest of the cf accents all over the car. i will share more once i get decent pics, i will be adding a nismo cf splitter to finish off the look. thoughts? i will post final pics as soon as i am done with everything

i am going for more of an aggressive look (vs. clean), as last resort i can always paint over the cf. also it hides those markings in the middle of the bumper

^ thanks bro, i got the inspiration and idea from marty's g, but his custom front has a huge center opening and it makes sense for him to keep the cf on either side of the vents

the front is on the car now, i am traveling due to work and should be home in 2 weeks and take some pics then
