That's why you measure from ground to the fenders and not the sides/front/or rear

fenders don't change so that is the best way to determine actual drop. As for pulled fenders etc. still would only be like 1/8" of error, MAYBE 1/4" of error if your fender was pulled like aaron pulls your hair.
