You're right Cal, the darn brackets are so tight. Its hard to loosen them without anything to hold them still.

Yes and no. The rear is dropped to the max (collars removed). The front was too low, so I had to raise it.

This is when my car was dropped to the max on the Basics.

I've gotta be the last person from the GB to install these.

Pretty simple install but it took me a couple hours since I kept moving around from spot to spot. Creeps me out when people are watching me work on my car. I had to extend the drivers side horn wires about 8" to reach. Nothing a little 18 gauge wire and heat shrink couldn't handle. Connected the two brackets with the original 10mm bolt from the stock horns and a wing nut.

Question though, which one is the negative and which is the postive terminal on the supertones? The stock wires are one green and one black. I just hooked them up to whichever and they still work. I just want to make sure they're connected properly. Anyone know?

Lol. Thanks. I pressed the panic button to test it out and it made my ears ring.

If you want to mount them in any other spot besides stock, you're going to have to extend the wires. They're really short to begin with.

A direct swap will only take about 15 minutes tops from start to finish. You will not need to extend the wires to mount them in the stock position. Just rotate the horns' mounting brackets so that the connecting pins "reach" (if the wires are feeding from the right and the connecting pins are on the left, the wires may not reach. Just rotate the horn). To mount them in the center, you'll need to extend the wires about 8" or so. Depending how centered you want them. Mine are a bit farther apart than WhosRich.

I angled mine straight down. I dont know how you were able to keep your 2 brackets straight like that with the horn's weight.

I made sure everything was HELLAtight. They haven't started sagging and don't have any travel during driving.
