Well as some of you may know ive been on the prowl for a WINTER beater/daily driver. So i finally found a 87 BMW 325 , 4 door sedan and yes its an AUTOMATIC




Well first off i bought the car for $900 and the car has 157,xxx. The body is in bad shape. The hood,roof,trunk are all faded and theres a few dings dents and just a little spec of rust on a few parts.

Here is the list of the bad!
1. A/C doesnt work
2. RADIO doesnt work
3. Front passenger window doesnt go up or down
4. Rear drivers side window doesnt go up or down
5. I can only open the front passenger side door from the inside(lol ghetto i know)
6. The dash is cracked, but i plan on buying a used dash for $100
7. My front turn signal lights doesnt blink when on.
8. The suspension feels so bad!
9. I need a new thermostat
10. The car starts to sort of studder when in traffic or at a light, so the owner said put the car in NEUTRAL so that studder will go away and it does lol, ghetto i know!! haha
11. Well the ODOMETER stopped working so i will need a new cluster.

Like i said this is my BEATER/Project FIXER upper. For right now im going to save up for some new shocks/lowering springs, and have my mechanic check out the tranny and engine and everything to see what needs to be replaced.

This will be a slow build/project but whatever i do new to the car ill post up in here. So please check back

 

So far i bought a PEP BOYS steering wheel cover , a new wide view rear mirror, and painted the interior door sills black, i plan on painting the carpet and rear seats and all the tan pieces black. I also ordered a EURO STYLE License plate saying "E30 BEAT3R"

just sprayed the front driver and passenger side carpet bottoms or whatever you call it lol. didnt have enough can spray to do the rears so that will be done next time.

Just got my Bilstein sport shocks today!! Didn't know these were tested on the Nurburgring, good to know







Now it's time to buy eibach lowering springs (1.8" drop front and 1.6" drop rear ) when I get more $$$

got my new front and rear BMW emblems today, i thought they were black and white from the ebay listing but when i received the emblems it was black cf and silver cf emblems lol. but i think it still looks alright

Spray painted the car FLAT BLACK










Don't mind the dirt on the hood and body , after I took these pics I went to the car wash and all the dirt is gone

 

I love E30's, this should be a fun project for you.

 

bro i have a whole dash cluster for this car my dad had it back in the day i dont no if it matters that its stick

 

bro any pics?!?! i think the e30 dashes manual or auto are still interchangeable. i may have to ask the e30tech forum.

Nice find! Some nice Bilstein coils and a decent engine/body work and you'd have a nice track/daily driver.

yea im looking at some bilsteins shocks and some lowering springs. right now im going to focus on making this car a RELIABLE daily driver and then do exterior later down the road. but man this exterior needs work! i hate ppl staring at me lol


yea ever since ive seen some sick e30's on the aggressive/stretched threads i had to get one! lol
