Chubbylita's Build Thread

Hey guys just wanted to make this thread to put down the progression of my 2003 LR Coupe, but most importantly to acknowledge people who made, and is making, this build possible!

First I will start with my previous car! My 97 Acura Integra! I miss her and was a pretty nice car to learn off of! Unfortunately, she got hit by a range rover in the parking lot and got totaled!

after that I used the money I got off the insurance to buy my new car! Went to autosport international in Irvine, CA and got my Laser Red 2003 G35 Coupe

Just as side track to this build, a few days after getting the G, my friend got his Evo X:

The G was used everywhere from Vegas to Sanfo to San Diego to Lake Tahoe! Just had fun trips with good friends and what could be better than that!

Ran into some of the hottest Gs along the way too! Vash at his parents work place!

At one point early 2010 was pinned to cones by a big truck which scratched the side of the car and took off my passenger side sidemarker!

And this is where the build really starts!

Like i said, nothing really that special! This thread is mostly to thank and give credit to the people that helped me with the building process! Not forcing anyone to look at this thread or anything!

People have had mistakes thru their building process on how their car wants to look like! Sometimes its a nice idea that could be in your head but when its there in plain sight it doesnt come out the way u imagined it! I am not trying to sugarcoat this build with the perfect car nor did I have alot of money thru the whole process so ofcourse I would sometimes go for the cheaper alternative or just do it myself! Either way, this is my log for my car and how it was back then to how it got to how it looks right now!

Did some lighting change! Bought some LEDs and 6000k D2Rs from hpun49

Repainted the door sills:

Debadged the trunk and painted the emblem Gloss Black:

Got my headlights and grill painted by iseechris and got some eyelids from Andy (bluebatmobile.net):

For some reason towards painting my front wheels I decide to try out flat black paint:

Now im left with flat black front wheels and gloss black with red pin stripes rear wheels!

Representing G35Driver:

Now came one of my hardest lesson in wheels and tires! Along with researching first and not being an impulse buyer!

In comes my first aftermarket wheels! 20in MRR GT1s!

For $500 for all 5 what can go wrong right?

Didnt know about proper lug pattern, proper tire sizing, and proper offsets! Redrilling was done to the wheels since it was for 5x120 bolt pattern!

Talked to James(Mextep) and hooked me up with a very nice place to get some replacement tires! Global Tires in Wilmington! Thanks to Abel for all the help! Got some 285/30/20 Pirelli P Zeros!

And to continue my local Cragislist shopping spree, got my Z Tube for $40:

Met up with Mike (bikinilust) to buy 06-07 Tinted Taillights and had my lesson in what intake to get! Was going to go for a popcharger but he suggested to go with the rev up air box! Took his advice and cleaned my k&n air filter along with it:
