sigh, i got the tires today at 3:00 pm, so i took my coworkers jeep and loaded my rims/tires and went to states tire. i get there and ask them if i could get my used but like new tires installed on my new rims and to balance them. they said okie and told me to take out the rims and tires so we can inspect it together for any blemishes on the rims and on the tires.
so the tire shop is saying that the 2 rear tires are not useable b/c of the rips on the inside and outside of the tire..i said are you sure? and he said yes hes positive b/c hes been mounting tires for years. i tell him okie ill give the Seller who i bought the tires from a call and see whats up with the rear tires...
now i call the seller and hes saying they left his possession with no rips and stuff so i said are you sure? he said yes, then we agreed probably fedex damaged them???
but anyhow that tire shop wont mount the rear tires b/c they dont want to be at fault if im driving and since the rear tires have rips in them if the case of me hitting a small pothole and the tire bursts or something.
heres some pics, now are these tires useable? the seller who i bought the tires from is saying there useable and will hold air no problem....

That looks like something that was done after they were dismounted from whatever wheels they were on prior. I say that because I had a similar thing happen to me with the inner wall being ripped

the front 2 tires are in ok condition so im getting those installed, but the seller of the tires is telling me that the rear tires are indeed useable and i should go to another shop to get them installed.
but i know all shops are going to say to me , YOU DO KNOW THERES RIPS in the tire lol. the seller of the tires said just to tell the tire shop that yes theres rips in the tires and just to mount them.

I would not put those on, I am never buying used tires again. I had sidewall cracks on 2 used tires I had bought that couldn't be seen unless mounted & inflated & the seller disappeared, so I was out like $400 for 2 new tires.

yea im not chancing the rear tires blowing at high speeds and end of killing myself or something and damaging my brand new work wheels.
so i just ordered 2 new Falken 452's, 265/30/19 rear tires for $404.98 shipped just now. and im going to ask the seller to refund me for the rear tires bc there not useable even though he swears there useable .

Good decision to buy new rubber - definitely not worth it.
