What is the point of that? So when your backing up you can get some extra light output?

its really used for heavy fog conditions so ppl behind can see you better if you have your rear fogs lights on or in my case ill use the rear fogs for tail gaters to let them know back up!! haha

True.. What are those lights used for when not being used at rear fogs in the US model?

I don't think so because HELLA said they are used to show people you are there in heavy fog (except for in the US).. Therefore when you are actually breaking it would not show a big difference besides the third break light.

Meh, I hate it when cars in front of me have their rear fogs on, its annoying and it just looks like their tail lights are stuck on. If it was a cheap mod then i maybe would've done it, but def not for $160.

But besides that, the car looks great! Ever consider CSL replicas?

Fog lights are not a big thing over here in the States, my car in the UK had them but we get real bad fog where you can't see the car in front if it's more than 10 feet away.

I have a volvo s60 for a winter car and it has something similar to a rear fog, its some kind of winter safety feature so people see you better..I think it makes one tail light brighter than the other or something, haven't really examined it yet.

I swear I never had this many ppl tailgate the shiet out of me ever since I got this car !! At nearly every signal ppl want to race me and it's getting annoying lol. I hate it sometimes in the morning and there's always a person looking at me then I look at them and he takes off all quick but I can't since I have to wait until my oil temp hits around 180 degrees(BMW states to let the oil warm up b4 stepping on it) in order for me to get on it lol.

It is cool that all the cars are wired for rear fogs and all you gotta do is add a switch. Wonder why they didn't just make it a feature on the US models as well.
