I'm confused at this. Some people say on bags, you can go slammed while parked, but when you're driving, you gotta raise the car up and look like an idiot.

So what's the deal? Can you roll slammed safely? (not slammed to the ground like when you're parked, a bit higher) Did people who roll slammed do any custom work to ride like that, or are they just changing some settings?

My friend wants bags, but he doesn't want to be driving around raised up.

That's the right idea, don't raise unless you have to! It all depends on how they decide to modified their suspension. If it's just bags on OEM struts, **** will be bouncy because you'll have to completely deflate the bags to even be low at all (I had to run 26psiF 0psiR) If he can use air struts or mount the bag on top of coils (that way when bags are fully deflated the car is riding on the coils) then he'll be fine.

It works, I'm on Tokico's but they don't go low enough - in the back at least. But if you get coils you can get brackets to fit on top of your coils so that way when the bags are deflated or even if the system fails, you're still on your coils.

Remove your spare wheel, mount the tank in there, cut an opening on the top for the tank to fit through. Best way to not lose trunk space imo, you can put your groceries on top .

So just asking this question in general since I'm not educated in the field.

Bags on OEM struts won't allow you to lay frame and neither will replacing the OEM struts to Tokico.

So, other than going coilovers, is there another alternative to go lower / lay frame with bags?

The fronts will be able to lay frame no matter what - the back won't, I really do not recommend OEM struts or Tokico's if you plan on driving low. There have been times on the highway where if the pavement is not smooth, my car will literally bounce, hit the pavement, fly up. Ride is very bumpy and being 1"~ off the road, you definitely don't want anything short of stiff as ****.

Air struts, cup kits, they all work. It all depends on how much you want to spend. Cheapest and most effective alternative will be to either buy a pre-assembled bag strut or get coils and through a bracket, attach the bag on top of the coil. (refer to my post above)

Damn! Aren't you worried that the 480 might be overloaded? Seems like quite a bit of work for 1 compressor to fill the tank on its own. How long does it take to fill the tank from empty to full? Not knocking your setup at all, just seems like a lot for a single compressor. My setup I run 2x444c ViAir compressors and I feel like they get pretty heated filling up my 5 gallon tank but maybe I'm just trippin'..

You can use OEM struts or aftermarket shocks.

Actually, it runs just fine. I never empty out the tank. I have the other compressor awaiting to install If i decide to run it. It took about.....5 mins to fill up from empty to filled. I don't play with the switches at all. The vu4 saves alot of air from just being blown out when you drop it.

I second this, the oem struts or tokico will not lay the *** end down. It is a bumpy ride even if the damping is set to hard. I'm going coils on bags very soon. Then off to the body shop.
