Did you know NSX stands for new sportscar experiment. Ayrton Senna test drove the NSX during its development and did nothing but praise it. The v-tec system was developed for the NSX and later adapted to other Acura and Honda models. Later other manufacturers saw the benefits of this system and developed their own. The body is all aluminum, the wheels for the 1991 models were forged aluminum. Their are certain bolts on the car that have a special coating on them and they can only be removed a certain amount of times before they have to be replaced. The body including the doors, roof, and trunk weighs less than 500 pounds. The connecting rods are made of titanium and the pistons are forged aluminum. The forged aluminum wheels save 13.2 lbs per corner over cast wheels. Just something I thought you might like to know.
