Brand new Diamond Graphite 2006 6MT

Just picked 'er up a few days ago, fully loaded with navi and rear active steer. Loving every minute of it so far! But the break-in period is killing me...

I know it's a bit controversial, but I love the new front bumper and rear spoiler.

Thanks guys. Clear corners are coming for sure (I'd like to keep a yellow bulb), but I think the rims are looking pretty good and will do me just fine for quite some time to come. I'd invest in some 1" lowering springs / shocks or coilovers before rims and tires.

The DG is indeed sweet. I had a semi-tough time deciding on a color with the new liquid platinum introduced, the always slick black, and the lakeshore slate (rare in a loaded 6MT). DG seemed like the best compromise between looks, availability, scratch appearance, and cleanliness.

is sirius radio a deal add on option, or it has to come from the factory like the navigation?

Invoice numbers are posted at Edmunds.com. Sirius or XM radio is available from the factory OR as a dealer-installed option. GET IT FROM THE FACTORY! Dealers will try and charge you an additional $400+ for install, and they will do a poorer job. The same goes for the aero kit. If you get a dealer-installed aero kit, your car will have two rear brake lights (with the one in the window being disabled).

You could also buy the satellite radio hardware for under $300 (modules for '06 are cheaper, plus antenna and cover) and install it yourself if you're even remotely mechanically inclined.

But to answer your question, here are some invoice costs:

Base 6MT: $30947
Premium: $2456
Navi: $1624
Aero: $474
Sat: $302
Rear Active Steer: $646

So for just premium + navi, you're looking at $35027. Insist on no more than $36027, plus invoice costs for any other options that happen to be on the car that they're trying to sell you.

If you're familiar with Micro$oft Excel, I've built a pretty nice spreadsheet that does all of the lease calculations for you. You can download it here. Modify the yellow boxes to set the options, cost over invoice, down payment, etc, and it will spit out your monthly payment and amount due at lease signing (down payment + first payment). If the number the dealer quotes you differs from these, then you know something is up! If the dealer gives you a different monthly payment for the same down payment, input their offered monthly payment at the bottom and it will show you how much additional profit they're trying to squeeze out of you.

so, wat was the total price of your car. i went to peninsula today, i settled with the white g35 6mt with premium, navi, and rear active steer, and the final price was $41,100. does this seem correct? i am going to leave a down payment tomorrow. is destination charge included in the $1000 over invoice, or it will be add on later?
thanks

No!!! Who did you talk to at Peninsula? Did you mention "Marty"? Look at the invoice numbers I listed above. The destination charge of $650 needs to be added to the raw invoice costs. For 6MT with premium, navi, and rear steer, the the total invoice price with destination is $36323 (MSRP is only $39700!).

For that car (assuming no other options) you should not pay any more than $37323 plus (assuming you're leasing) the bank fee, document fee, and registration fee totalling an additional $940 or so which will be itemized SEPARATELY from the "$1000 over invoice" offer. Do NOT let them talk you in to anything over $37323!
