Why? A lot of different reasons I guess.

I asked one of my Japanese friends the same question. After WWII....the US occupation made the Japanese use English just as much as Japanese. All advertisements, products, stores, etc...Have English only...or Japanese and English.

I like the amber turn signal indicator on the V35s in Japan. Not sure why they don't included that on the American models

I was in Tokyo for a week and only saw one 350GT sedan the whole time I was there. I was searching to see a coupe but no such luck. It is funny how everyone thinks that they use the clear corners in Japan. All cars have amber corners in Japan. I believe it is the law. I believe they only use clear in europe.
If you like the white gloves you have to check out a Japanese taxi. Taxi driver is a prestegious job in Japan. The Drivers wear suits with the white gloves and the taxi's have doilies on the head rests and curtains for the back seat.

lol ur just like me, wen i went to japan this summer, i was literally looking everywhere for a skyline, evo or sti, or anything around there. i would post up pics too, but i got the pics in ym other comp. i will post pics later if u dont mind.
