I'm not putting the M5 down, and in 500hp mode with aggressive shifting, the sedan can keep pace with a 360 Modena. But is anyone else bothered by these performance metrics?
you cant really shift the M5 aggresively, theres alot of complaints from alot of different magazines and top gear about the gearbox, I recently test drove one and they feel really good but the tranny is a bitch.

The car probably tops out at around 180. Almost no car will do the what the speedo shows. I will get some more interior shots soon for you, and my dad is a doctor. He owns his own practice.

your M5 is awsome but why didnt he get the CLS 55 AMG same price and the CLS is even faster.

if you read the new MotorTrend mag. they have a testing of the new M5 and the CLS 55 AMG and the CLS wins in the 0-60 by .1 and also in the 1/4 mile by .1 or .2 i dont remember.

M5 (with 500 HP ) has bad torque around 380 i think
CLS has less horses (476 i think) but the torque is 516

.1 seconds? That sure is alot of time! Did you read the part where the M5 ran 2.55 seconds faster around Willow Springs Track? How bout after the cars were started together, at the end the M5 was 24 car lenghts ahead of the Mercedes. Or the 279 combinations of selectable performance with the engine, transmisson, suspension, and stability and traction control system compared the the benz's 18. The M can be tuned down to 400 horse beacuse a 500 HP car probably wouldnt be very enjoyable to drive every day. Sure the Benz can beat the M5 by .2 seconds in the quarter mile, but what fun is it just driving in a straight line? For $2,000 more you get a better car all around. All this is just my opinon though.
