thanks guys for all the nice comments.

i wasnt too sure about the gloss black the first couple of days i got it.
some of my concerns are the color contrast might be too crazy. also with the black rim craze going around, i didnt want the rims to be mistaken for cheap knockoff black rims. (that most people rock)

im really starting to like it now. the color contrast is pretty awesome, esp on a bright sunny day like the day when that pix was taken. i dont think my rims look like the typical black rims cause of the gloss black color. i see lots of civics with black rims but they are more dull, kinda like a flat black color. The gloss black def gives it a high end, classy feel.

the 255/285 was a good decision as well cause the car sits a little higher now, just enough for me to clear my driveway with my newly installed veilside lip on.

any of you have other questions, regarding my rims or anything volk, i would be happy to answer. this is my third set. i think i might be pretty happy with these for awhile..

Did you have to cut fenders because of the tire size or because of the 10.5 rim width (or offset)? In other words, if you had 275/35/19's would they fit without cutting? Do you have suspension mods and if so is that why the fender cutting is needed? I want to go 9.5/10.5, 245/35/19 and 275/35/19s but not really wanting to cut fenders...

thanks!

i had to cut fenders for the 285 tire..
i had 275 on the 10.5 rear before without any problems..

but i really love the 285..and wouldnt have it any other way ever again.

the 255/285 are really flush where as the old 245/275s werent..

all that info is based on the fact i have always been dropped on eibachs
