My friend got it at Del Amo Motorsports in So. Cal. He bid between 2 other stores (Hollywood Yamaha & Marina Yamaha Aprilla) and it retails for $9400 for yellow and $9100 for black.

He was able to bring it down to $8900 and after taxes, fees, ext. warranty, he got for $10,500 out the door.

Very nice. Reminds me of the R1 I caught at 105 MPH last month. Tell your friend to save himself the hastle and mount the license plate the way it's supposed to be mounted. Visible and easy to read. Those darn chippies will do anything for an easy ticket.
