Layed into CSR rep about Q50 option packages

So I lease my Gs, started in 2005. I'm now on my 3rd G series.

Went to the infiniti web site, built a Q50 and .... huh.... leather is now optional? wtf?

So now they come standard with leatherette, just like crappy BMW, and you have to pay for leather. Not only that, you need to get it with navi and a spare tire.

So the Q50 comes with run flat tires, cost you an additional $200 to get spare, and you have to get navi to get leather.

Their response was that customer survey reported that most people don't want leather.

Hopefully they will change this.

I love my G35 but when the time comes to get another car, I will be getting a BMW or a Lexus.

I love my g, but that's because I built it. Every screw has been removed at one point or another. Our other caris an audi a4. Love that one as well. Only thing I don't like they changed in the new models. My next car brand though is not an Infiniti. They are just not what they once were. I'm looking to buy an 2014 Acura mdx soon though. They are beautiful cars.

The more I think about this, I'm leaning towards a Lexus. I bought my used 06 G35 the beginning of 2010. So it was roughly 5 years old. I have no problem buying a 4-5 year old IS-F with low miles... when the time comes. I drove my friend's ISF a few times and I think it ruined me..

First and second gens will remain the best models they made. I rather go with BMW next might as well if i will pay $50k for a car.

i spoke with a sales manager he was telling me that the Q50 is above the g until 2015 when they will stop making the g. Has any one else herd that they will build the g until 2015?

the fact that leather is not standard is not right.

i test drove an is-f this past weekend. I thought I'd like the is-f a lot, but the seating position isn't what i'm used to. Like in an e92 M3 or G35 I'm sitting in the car while the is-F I'm sitting on top of the car.

I did feel the ISF a little bit high but it seemed normal for a 4 dr. I still love that thing!

Yup....and changing their nomenclature to Q and QX only isn't helping. They built their brand around the G and they're just taking away what they've built. If they're on this track they might as well start calling the 370z the Maxima Coupe......
