Floor jack rail adapter

Does anyone know of an adapter for a garage jack that you can safely use on the side jacking points? A U bracket just like the stock one. I cant get my floor jack under the front end of my car so I have been using the side points but I'd rather use a plate the fits that point so that I dont mess anything up.

Depends how "low" your car is. If it's too low, your going to have to use ramps. As far as an adapter, you could probably make some or have someone do this. I've made some, like you describe, but for my Jack Stands.
They fit on the Side Rail Jack points. Search and ye shall find!

my car is about half an inch off the ground. I drive up onto 2 2x4's on top of one another.. then i put a 2x4 on the jack (make sure it's leveled/in the middle).. I put this right under the rail that runs down the car. Works like a charm.

If you car was 1/2" off the ground, how could you drive up onto a 1.5" piece of wood (2x4)?

Heard about this one too!
...but have never tried this "method"...

Here's what I came up with...after Ramps and a Floor Jack!

I'm thinking about making some adapters soon for my floor jack and jack stands. I'm also gonna try something to roll my car up a little so I can get enough clearance for my floor jack. I'll let you guys know if I come up with a decent setup.

Line the first one up perpendicular to the tire, right behind the bumper.

i had a strip of oak in my basement so cut small blocks to use as
spacers between the car and jack/jackstands. for the stands im
using 2 screws to lock the blocks into place on the jack stand.

ive seen DIY vids where some guy raised the car using only the rail.
for a sub3000lbs car that might be fine, but not on the G. it'll bend the
railing. make sure you sandwitch a spacer behind the rail where
the factory jackpoints are. you'll notice there is reinforced metal there.
the weight is not suppose to be on the railing.

Hockey puck works great!

It fits inside of floor jack cup...I used a hack saw to cut a groove that fits over the rail so it does not get crushed.
