GroundingGear 10 minus 1 kit

I love the 10 wire Kit, but hates the addition of weight.
Total weigh added 4 Lbs to the front of a front heavy car.

By looking into it closely, I found one wire is really a duplication of
the other one. Makes no sense to have both.

I removed THAT wire, saves 0.5lbs of weight.

Car performes exactly the same, as good as the 10 wire.

Could you figure out wich wire is the useless duplication?

4 lbs?... are you really concerned?... it is said that 100lbs is equal to about 5 hp loss or .1 second off 1/4 mile... how could 4lbs make a difference - much less .5lbs?...

Keep that extra wire...instead, better eat no burgers before a race...and don't forget to take a dump...that should strip of more than .5lb

Wow ! You really are trying to squeeze every bit of power from your ride .

If thats the case I better get my wife to leave her purse at home (big weight savings there, lol). and I better get on that Atkins Diet and shed a bunch of my excess poundage .

LOL!!! Yep, the chicks' purses will lose the race for us!!! Reminds me of a thread a long time ago in So Cal forum - a G35Driver member was challenged to a race (I forget what the other car was)... he made his girlfriend get out and stand on the curb till the race was over... I don’t know if it was for safety or weight reduction - but reading about it was funny!!! Maybe her purse was real heavy!

Front heavy? The G35 sedan has a 52/48 balance and that's considered to be pretty damn close to ideal.

And 4lbs concerning the wires? Is this a joke Believe me, you and you're car won't notice it.

My guess would be that you removed the #5 wire. My advice, don't do it.

One tester several years ago noticed that there was a slight change for his car without that wire. If I remember correctly, it was slightly smoother without, but found that he seemed to lose a little of the perceived power gain with the wire. He ended up experimenting extensively to come to this conclusion, at least re his particular G35.

Each wire was developed as part of a System for the G35/350Z. There is a reason for each one, though effects may be slightly different from car to car. We've experimented with different mounting points, configurations, and even up to 14 wires. The 8 wires for the 6MT, and the 10 for the 5AT are a result of that research. More wires didn't mean better performance (sometimes even worse), and this was true with different mounting points as well.

But glad you still love your GroundingGear™ System.
