Oh cool, I live in Eastvale too haha. When do you think you'll have some free time to install your grounding kit if I buy it?Originally Posted by SxExCx

I would be curious if I just did an ECU reset and then test drove it looking for smoother shifting if that would be the culprit. I just don't get how there can be so much information saying a grounding kit can't improve performance in anyway, but all these people see great gains. Especially since your mind can play tricks on you. But there are just so many good reviews, I want to try it for myself.

i installed my ground wire kit today and am very impressed with both the fit and quality. i think the most noticeable improvement is in the overall smoothness of the engine operation. the car definately revs smoother and seems more eager to do so. i went and ran it pretty hard before the install so i would have the most accurate perspective possible with respect to performance gains. i dont know if it was the smoothness of the revs or what, but the car felt slightly faster. its my only mod so far, and i wouldnt say im ready to go tackle the 335's just yet, but it is faster. this is a functional mod. i took my time to do a super clean installation that sean himself would be proud of (im an engine bay guy)... and i must say, he made it easy for me
! the kit is very complete, even down to the number of zip ties it takes for a truly clean install. resetting the ecu takes a little practice but i got it within a few minutes. timing is indeed critical. all in all i feel like i stole it at $90 shipped. i would recommend this mod to anyone! thanks sean!
now im ready for a polished ps tank he he...

Well I had Sean install a set of his grounding wires on my car today, cool guy, quick to respond, and really knows his stuff. Clean, quick, and good looking installation. I highly recommend this mod to everyone, (especially the AT guys). I have an AT myself and the difference in shifting is noticeable immediately. The car shifts much smoother in both auto and manumatic mode, with the lag in auto mode gone, and barely noticeable in manumatic.
I still have to work on my suspension stuff and wheels first before I start on engine dress up, but I'll be sure to hit you up when I come to that, especially since you live literally 1-2 minutes away, haha. So you gonna be able to install your coolant hose mod, and Stillen sway bars when I order them?
I'll snap a pic tomorrow, thanks again Sean

If you haven’t been infected by the mod bug yet, you might want to forgo your periodic perusal of this forum…
Or just say f-it and get the ground wires! They are one of the cheapest, relatively beneficial mods you’re gonna get for the G. Bang for Buck rating = 8.25 of 10 for AT (yes that’s my official rating system which might indicate you should just request a deletion of your user name and block this sites address from your browsers navigation).

I dont drive a 6mt so I cant speak from experience. Read through this thread and the review thread in the 1st post...there are at least 10 6MT guys who gave good reviews.

how do I go about ordering this kit? and what does installation entail, (literally just a wrench or do I have to jack the car up or what)? really interested, wish I was in socal so I could get one of your infamously clean installs.

Installed Sean's kit and I'm very happy I did.
Installation was a breeze provided to very good instructions that Sean sent with the kit. The most difficult part was the wire that goes to transmission. Other than that, everything else was very simple.
Do not ignore his suggestion to work on a cool engine, you can save yourself some burns this way
I have only driven my 5AT coupe for a couple of miles but I have to attest to much improved shifting in both, automatic and MM modes. The most notable difference to me was the hard 2-3 shift in MM mode is now gone! Very impressive.
I am happy with the purchase. Highly recommend!
The way I understand how this product works, it probably bypasses numerous stray capacitors that exist in the stock grounding circuits. These undesired "capacitors" affect and/or the distort signals; thus, affecting transmission circuitry and other electronic elements.
No matter how it works, it does work. And I recommend this upgrade to 5AT owners.

how about us 6speed? is it true that this upgrade also prevent our light from dimming every time hard bass hit which is pretty much "the big three" upgrade?
