Crawford Plenum

Installed the Crawford plenum today and was very easy. Took approx 90 min of carefull layout of bolts and nuts. Fear not, my mechanically challenged friends, the mod went much smoother than I thought it would have. The toughest part was trying to get the damn hose clamps off (tight fit)! I'll keep you all posted on my overall impressions with performance, although, I've heard nothing but positive things.
Buy the way, is there a berak-in period for the ECU to reset, if it even does?
Thanks

Not sure about the ECU with the plenum, but I know that it took 100 miles or so for the ECU to adapt to my high flow cats.

Fits a sedan fine. I cut the cover myself with a dremel tool, so cost was zip.

A great mod. I have one of the original upper plenums from Crawford and love it -- it's not as neat at Lou's subsequent model, but works just as well and adds noticeable power.

I install the Crawford yesterday and I almost crap myself. This is my second time installing the Crawford Plenum, the previous version did not fit well. So it was no big deal to install..Except!! When I started the car, I heard a very high pitch sound. No problem. The bolts just needed tighten to eliminate the leak. I slow started doing them one at a time. ##$% it so easy to over touque the bolt. One almost broke; when I backed it out, it was only a C hair from breaking. If that broke I would have been SOL. I used the bolt from the engine cover and it worked perfectly, but I still hear an occasional whine, but I am afraid to tighten any more bolts. Can I replace the bolts? What do I ask for and where can I get them. They will need to be very strong.
HELP

As we have been talking to people about the install, it has become obvious that there have been problems with the install / install document. The main issue is a bracket that is located on drivers side in front of the lower plenum. It is stamped with the label "M3" (Go figure). This bracket has been getting caught between the upper an lower plenum and can cause a leak. The instructions have made it more clear with descriptions and pictures, but basically the skipped step that needs to happen is the removal of this bracket. All it does is hold a wire loom. New loom brackets are included.

See "support" section of website to get new manual.

So does anyone have a review of how it is after it is properly installed? Anyone have any issues with getting air in the colling system?

Hopefully everyone loves it cuz I just sent mine to the powdercoater on Friday! LOL
