The downhill didnt affect me much, my car weighs about the same as yours, plus I have a small system in the back and rolling on 20" chromes. Its just I have better gearing....Especially the top end, and the very bottom end. Mid range is kinda iffy. But 5th gear for me when im going over 3/4ths throttle feels like it wont stop.

Was that a VW that kept trying to catch up to us, and then followed you off the exit? I remember seeing its headlights behind us for awhile, then whenever we took off, it tried to keep up, but would take a good 6-10 miles before I would see it again

 

Stick vs. Auto.
Unless the Auto has similar gearing, it won't have a real chance, especially since our autos aren't geared towards speeds over 100Mph.
