I want to make a SDGz BBQ just for our local. Don't want all of SoCal coming down. I usually do it pot luck style. Bring at least 1 item per car, and we will have more than enough food to feed everyone. i just want suggestions for locations so i can check them out and make a decision. So if you can put an address or a landmark i can google so i can find the actual area you may post up, it would help. A park in Mission Bay is too wide of an area. i need more specifics.

There's an awesome spot here in Oceanside, you can GoogleMap it too...

N Santa Fe Av & Guajome Park
Oceanside, CA 92056

only $3 parking, but it's cool because that keeps most people out of the lot. Some random pics i took a while back when thinking of good BBQ locations...

a few other good things about that spot:

- Not too far for the Temecula crowd to come out

- Like 10 miles away from a Coast HWY cruise

- Also right of the 76; easy to find and not far from the canyons

- Walmart hella close, so if anything came up, we'd be good

I would prefer something near some body of water. beaches tend to be very crowded, but it doesnt have to be by a beach. My main things I need

Grill
plenty of parking that is close to the grilling area
activities for people to do (especially if you are bringing the family)
