No one said they cost 10x that. The cost is jacked because they were produced in limited quantities and are in high demand. Gotta pay for exclusivity.Originally Posted by importroller
its more like, you aren't stupid. the car license plate holders may be discontinued, but if the motorcycle ones are only $7.50 from Fatlace Illest directly, then i don't see how the car size ones would cost 10X that. I'm sure if you contacted them, they could point you in the right direction to get them at a normal price.
And no, they would not point you in the right direction to get them at a normal price. They are discontinued. Might be able to find them for cheaper from someone that doesn't realize their value/worth.
Not for everyone. Gotta pay to play.
I'll do $65 picked up for one or $120 for both for you SDGz.
Not looking for a quick sale, so if they don't sell now...no biggie to me.FWIW, I'd never pay more than $15 for one of these. But someone will.

Maybe I'm missing something. What makes them so "exclusive"? Originally Posted by Calvin

IDK, i just find it hard to understand some of these trends and butt sniffing followings I see on these forums and in the car scene.

^Shawn, PM me with your contact info about rolling up on Saturday.
I agree with you on the trend stuff. In the end, it's just making someone else rich. The scene has been around before the sticker and flush fad and the scene will survive without it.
Nowadays, a slammed ride with flush wheels and stickers will get more attention than for example a completly custom performance and fabricated ride like a G35 with an entire R35 powerplant and drivetrain.
I'd give more credit to a car that can enter shows AND perform at the track. It takes a lot more time money and effort to bridge that gap than simply dumping, adding flush wheels and slapping on some stickers. Example: RareJDM G35. Best of both worlds.

PM sent. My thoughts is, why mod a car to the level where you can't even drive it safely if it's your DD car? If its a car just for show, or just for track, then that's different. But Im beyond tired of seeing the stupid lexus GS's and all the other people who have adopted the "VIP" fad rolling around slammed tucking the wheels with stretched tires, and every little bump in the road they look like they are going to slide off the street. I'm actually hoping to one day be behind one of them when the tire seperates from the rim and they get stuck on the side of the highway so i can take a picture and laugh.

i love the VIP scene, also seen some G35 coupes go VIP also, looks real good. A lot are tucked but you also forget some are rolling on airbags and then there are those who can't afford it and just slam it but still drive it daily. You can drive it slammed but just gotta be careful

if it's on bags, thats different because it is still fully functional and drivable. But the ones on cut springs or coilovers slammed all the way down, well.....I will have my camera ready
