So I dropped the car off at 8:45 today.

They gave me a Cobalt to drive. This thing is hands down the worst pile I have ever driven. I can't even begin to describe how much I hate this car.

So it's going to take about a week to repair. The bumper is bent up so it's getting replaced, the engine under cover is gouged and has broken clips, and the radiator support is cracked.

The wheel is going to take about 3 months.

Insurance should be covering it minus the deductible

For the most part yes. I hadn't gotten the chance to declare my wheels to my insurance so only the first $1000 is covered on those. There's a small ding in the inside of the left wheel that I'll probably be paying out of pocket.

At least you got something decent. One time when I went to a rent-a-car place they didn't have many cars to choose from. They had the nerve to ask me a stupid question.

"Sir, we only have 2 cars left. A convertible Beetle or a Mustang."

Me: What kind of guy drives a convertible bug?!

Crickets

No dude, I mean a base Cobalt sedan. It felt like it was going to kill me every time I took a turn... like I felt safer driving in the G with half tire pressure. I took it back and picked up an Altima.

That video is awesome, by the way!
