Your car doesn't look modified either. It looks like every other car with rims and tint. That Cop was just being a dick. He had no reason to ask you to pop your hood.

My bro is in the military, and he was in his army uniform when he got pulled over for speeding, but the cop let him go because he said our country needed him. This was a year after the 9/11 incident.

i'm buying a house when i get there, so i guess that would make me a california resident. Then again, i believe for military personel we fall under the "military non-resident clause" that is why we only spend like $50 to get our cars registered there if it has cali plates, but back then i did not own a house. Not sure if that technicality will get me. I will try and keep my florida DL and plates for the whole time i am there, it expires in 2012 anyway. Beginning this september florida will start doing 2 year registrations. My tint here in florida is against the law, but cops really don't mess with you here like they do over there. Can someone who actually has experience in this, or knows first hand chime in please.

You are correct sir, I am also in the military and it's $65 for plates for us out of state people. But you should just keep your florida plates as long as you can for the window tint law. They won't **** with you as much as Florida doesn't enforce the tint law as hard as Cali does.

you do not have to change your plates until you get out of the military unless you change your home of record. If your home of record is florida then keep it that way. less chance you will get messed with. Steve-seperated Air Force
