Problems with something in Transmission
I start the car, in neutral with clutch pressed, car starts. There is a loud metal on metal type of squealing when the clutch is pressed. After the engine is warmed up and the clutch is pressed the RPM's will plummet to zero and the engine will stall. For about a couple of weeks, when trying to shift into 5th gear it did not really want to go into gear, I would have to wait a second to shift into 5th. I am thinking that it maybe my throwout bearing. Can anyone shed some light on this to exactly what needs to be replaced. I have searched this site for that problem and found absolutely nothing.

Well brought the car in this morning to a transmission mech that I know. The transmission is shot. Either need to rebuild the trans or get a new one. Right now the clutch pedal is pretty much sitting on the floor, not much room to press it in to change gears. Still have a horrible metal on metal squealing noise. My mech said he could replace the throw out bearing, but would have to tear it apart again in a little while to replace even more of the trans. I do not have the money right now to rebuild or replace the trans right now, so this has to wait. Car will sit in the drive way until it is fixed. THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!
