I am trying to find something to buy for my G. Maybe a shifter? Maybe a Ztube and filter? So confused.

You wanna step up performance or looks or handling or be able to enjoy it all the time (I.E. shifter/steering wheel/stero) something you can see?

 

Budget, I would say around $500, thinking I want a shifter. Use it a lot, being a 6 speed and all..lol

 

Maybe get a tune? Hmmm...could do that at Intec this weekend? Hmmmm....

 

I found so much stuff! Rogue shifters! Headers! Radiators! So cheap compared to the prices you pay to mod a GTO..my headers were $1600..lol. These 304SS headers I found were like $400!

Now I have to research quality mods..they have to be quality.

Headers are probably the least gain for the buck on a VQ, Nissan actually did a decent job of the flow on the OEM setups, where you can snag gains would be plenum spacers (or new plenum - Kintex) ztube/pop charger combo for intake and a tune of course. You could flash the car within your budget and tune up once you've added some breather mods. The throttle sync alone is worth the tune IMO.

 

I was looking at the Z tube and a pop charger, maybe order that, get the car tuned and go from there.

 

Got a Kinetix V+ Plenum and a Z1 tube and filter package sitting in the basket. Just doing a little more shopping before I hit "checkout" lol

 

nice nice...spyral you missed the group buy for kinetic products by a few weeks...keep on shopping brotha...and like shank said headers are a waste unless your going to go the cams/springs route like i did...otherwise your intake,plenum/plenum spacer, tp/hfcs and exhaust with a tune should make you pretty happy.

 

Right now, the Kinetic and Z1 tube/filter are all I bought. Going to look at tp/hfc's and exhaust next.

and a blue 280/300zx comes charging up the wrong way on the on-ramp
It was a good thing I wasn't in the HOV (what with the kids in the back) else all of us would be sitting pretty @ Valley Med right now
This moron must have missed his exit and/or was drunk but he just kept on going after I missed him with inches to spare and pulled a right on 180th

And earlier tonight I'm cruising along the 524 heading home after dinner with the rest of the sloppy joes when some nuckfut in a blue SS comes hauling outta nowhere, passes everyone on the left in the oncoming lane, way across the double yellow ... I pulled over to the shoulder as soon as I saw him - figured maybe he was being chased by a trooper but no, this m0ron was just out playing chicken in oncoming traffic

What's hilarious is that on any given day 524 is packed with the po-po but today they were all getting coffee
