when i was in Germany this winter, The presale for the 1 series was going on at pentagon car sales...a dealership where govt. employees can purchase a new car tax free and at a better price than here in the USA, and its shipped home for free after you pick it up at the BMW HQ...

here's my point, I priced them, a loaded 135 manual, I could have bought for $32K, alot cheaper than what i have seen here in the states...

I know think i should have bought one and sold it when i came home for a profit...

Good luck with your purchase, and I hope its as fun as it sounds on paper...

I never fill my car up, unless I am going on a road trip why have that excess weight being lugged around

Lol, weight savings baby. I showed up to auto-x with an empty tank and had to go get gas inbetween runs. I found out the hard way that I only have 4-5 runs left after the needle gets to Empty. The clerk looked at me weird when I said I wanted $3 worth of gas.. next time I'm bringing a gas can hahah.

manual

no i went with a paddle shifting auto. my g was an auto and i layed downed some fairly good times against mustang gt's and 6spd g's at the track. with an auto, it's all in the hole shot baby""'
