Official Intro: Joyriide Detailing

I've been long overdue for a proper introduction so here it goes.

Joyriide Detailing is now a sponsor of SFLG35 and welcoming all members with a premium discount. Take the time to read through this, gander at the work, and research my history so that you can fully appreciate and understand my services and passion.

I am 21 years old and have been detailing ever since I began driving 6 years ago. Passion first started with my parents being so gracious as to give me a brand spanking new British Racing Green Mini Cooper. Being my first car, and brand new at that, I immediately was fascinated with it and wanted it cleaned all the time, made all the classic rookie mistakes. Bought a jar of Turtle wax Hard Shell and thought that was as far as I could go with it.

That led to a search one day looking for the best wax. Found a site called autopia.org in 2003 and it all sky rocketed from there. I immediately bought a clay bar at my local auto store and applied a coat of Mothers Carnauba Wax and was shocked at the difference a little bit of knowledge over the internet gave.

From there I kept reading, a few months after bought my first polisher (Porter Cable 7424) and began learning and making steps towards the detailer I am today. Since then I have invested hundreds of hours and dollars into this new found hobby and have been improving my techniques and procedures one car at a time.

A year after my purchase of my first polisher, I made the leap of faith and bought a circular polisher. A tool which is known to be as precise as a straight blade is to shaving but just as dangerous if the proper precautions are not taken. From there I have spent countless hours learning through trial and error, changing polishes, varying speeds, changing pads, and looking at a circular polisher, not as a tool to speed up the process, but as a tool to get a better result.

Three years later, I now am fully capable and experienced with a circular polisher and feel it almost necessary to provide these types of services to others, who can enjoy a perfectly detailed vehicle through the time and experience I have gone through.

It is well known that a good, qualified detailer is hard to come by and at times, almost impossible. Our cities and towns are full of so many unqualified detailers that in most aspects, people have come to except these results as satisfactory, many times paying premium prices for them. Some of these detailers don’t charge up, but actually mark down their prices to compete with others, lowering the standards and expectations even more.

My goal in providing this to you all, is not a lucrative money making target, but rather the experience to do something I love, give you all a service that is very much needed, and charge a reasonable amount while doing it to offset the price of time, products, and tools.

So please, take a look at my work, ask me questions, and feel free to ask for my references.

The car that started it all.

Very impressive work, especially by someone as young as yourself. Don't forget to save all your supply receipts and track all your other business-related expenses (including mileage driven to jobs, stores, etc.) for tax write-offs.
