I never knew but I just found out I can't buy a iphone 3g and unlock it to work with tmobile... so anyone know where I can get a 2g iphone kinda quick besides ebay?

ant thats not true ive unlocked a 3g for tmobile but it is kinda pointless because the tmobile does not have a 3g network look on ebay the 2g go all day long

 

really? last time i checked you could only jailbreak a 3g iphone but not unlock it and activate

but you can still do that w/ a 2g iphone w/ the 2.0 firmware

 

I have a 2g iphone im willing to sell. It does have a minor crack on the bottom of the phone but it does not effect the touch screen in any way. Id be willing to sell it for 300. PM me for pics if your intrested.

 

so far, there's no software to unlock the 3g. i've heard rumors about a sim unlock though.

also, t-mobile now has 3g service in select areas. they're starting to build up their network.

iPhone 3G cannot be unlocked but as Danny mentioned there's not point on using the 2nd gen iPhone on T-Mobile.

If I wouldve seen this earlier I wouldve sold you my old one. I sold a 1st gen with a case and extras for 150 a couple days ago. I lost the headphones but that was the only thing missing. Try craigslist or wait for the new google phone
