Can anyone give me reference of a transmission shop where they can install a upgraded VB and TQ to my 2004.5 sedan? Any ideas of a customary price?

That is some crazy labor fee. I want to say lil mike had his done for around 1k. Its not cheap.

 

There is a member here that is selling an already upgraded VB and TQ converter. I just need a shop to swap VBs and TQ converter. Do you know of someone with experience doing this type of work? Thanks

 

any transmission shop should be able to install it, it is a shift kit the same as people have been installing for years. http://www.transgo.com/ is the kit they use it is not rocket science.

 

Believed or not i have called a couple of shops that won't do it only because this are "performance" parts. Any suggestion?

 

Would you trust your transmission and upgraded VB to "any transmission shop"? If I make this post here is because i hope some of you might have some reference of a shop with technicians that at least have done this before. No suggestions at all? Thanks

What I am telling you is it does not take a rocket scientist to do this, and many of your big name performance shops sub out the work to the local tranny shop anyways. It is a transgo shift kit, the same as every other car many local tranny shops have installed 1,000,000 times before. The reason they cost so much is they have to still cut a profit after paying the tranny shop 3-400$.

 

I called Japtrix and they said they have done it before so I'm about to go there after i receive the new tranny cooler. I just hope that the hour drive there will be worth the work.

I finally find "the" shop!!!
I did not make a VB swap but they beautifully installed a Transgo reprogramming kit on the VB. Great people there, very knowledgeable and very professional work. Here the details:
