Freddie, I would suggest the 40 because if you wanted to get a 9mm conversion barrel later on for the range to can, you can't go the opposite way 9mm to 40sw. I will go to the shop and get you guys a price on the xd40 and xdm40
Danny... let me know when you want to go shooting... I'll bring out some of my toys... maybe even a few custom ones.
Glock is CRAP... can't understand why people by the gun. SigSuare and Springfield for sure. I have quite a firearm collection and have fired many guns and rifles and my conceled has always and will always be a SigSaure. You can also go with HnK.

A little something about the military. Basically they go for what ever meets the spec and BEST PRICE! We have some of the best and worst weapons issued to our forces.
Lets keep this simple, the Glock is a work horse. Its not pretty, it is not smooth. But it is reliable, combat accurate, best coating protection, simple to operate and very little maintenance. Out of all the handguns that I go through on the range, the Glock stands firm. Now i am not saying its the best. I believe all the top brands are good but the Glock does sit in the top 3 on my list. For every person that puts down the Glock, I can grab many others that will support it. The Glock platform was ahead of its time and is still leading the way. More law enforcement carry Glock over any other model. S&W finally lost the front runner up on this. Reason is, its ergonomics. Males and females both shoot it well. Motor skills are easy to master on the Glock and it being double action on every shot. First to last, same trigger pull etc..
Now with that said, my 1st choice.... Ed Brown 1911 Kobra!
I carry a Glock 23 daily.
ok, I am done. Just could not let the Glock crap statement go w/o defending it. The Glock defended me to many times in my line of work.

I never said that Glock was a bad brand, I just mentioned I preferred my Springfield much better. I have limited experience with Glock and it did not preform that well, that is where my opinion comes from.
hey man i go shooting there every wednesday we usually go to the target range with my shotgun but i wanna do the skeet shooting sometime haha
